Former Beatles member Paul McCartney is no stranger to "elevating the mind," but Monday night he encountered a new type of high. The 71-year-old rock icon performed at an altitude of 2,850m in Quito, the capital of Ecuador, setting a new record for the singer.

The performance marked one of five stops in the South American leg of McCartney's "Out There" tour. McCartney will also head to North America on his tour, stopping at Target Field in Minneapolis on August 2nd. The show is completely sold out but KOOL 108 stashed away a few tickets for the highly anticipated concert to give away exclusively to KOOL Club members! Click here for your chance to win »

Target Field claims a much more modest altitude than Quito, but we trust McCartney will still put on a good show.
