Winter Classic: NHL Trophy Display To Open at Mall of America!

It's going to be a cold one outside on Saturday when the Minnesota Wild host the St. Louis Blues for the 2022 Winter Classic at Target Field.

On Wednesday, Dec. 29 and Thursday, Dec. 30, 21 hockey’s most prized trophies, including the iconic Stanley Cup®,will be featured as the NHL Trophy Display presented by Discover opens inside Mall of America as part of a city-wide celebration of the 2022 Discover NHLWinter Classic® between the MinnesotaWild and St. LouisBlues at Target Field. The 2022 Discover NHLWinter Classic® will be the first NHLWinter Classic® scheduled to be played in primetime and will start at 6 p.m. CT on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022. The game will be televised on TNT, Sportsnet, and TVA Sports.

The trophies will officially be on display in the North Atrium at Mall of America starting Wednesday, Dec. 29 at 10 a.m. CT. The Stanley Cup®, one of the oldest and most revered trophies in professional sports, will be on display at select times on Wednesday, Dec. 29 and Thursday, Dec. 30. Fans will have a chance to take in this exciting display before the trophies return to the Hockey Hall of Fame later this year.
