Someone let a pumpkin rot for just over 90 days. And they got a video time-lapse of it!
You probably won't want to leave your pumpkin on your doorstep or inside your house after seeing this footage. I'm very careful with our pumpkins as the weather gets colder. I never leave them out on freezing nights and guess they get gross after that.
If you have a yard waste disposal service, you can probably toss it in with your grass and leaves. Some communities have fun pumpkin disposal activities which involve hurling or otherwise destroying pumpkins. You could also put it in a compost pile or simply throw it out.
