It's a 2016 George Duboeuf Moulin-a-Vent Domaine des Rosiers that is one impressive Beaujolais. In fact, this wine is a versatile, elegant Cru Beaujolais that is perfect for the Burgundy and Pinot Noir lover in your life BUT will also be an eye-opening experience for anyone who has not tasted high-end, quality Beaujolais. Domaine des Rosier family estate is located on the highest slopes of Moulin-a-Vant, an appellation considered the "King" of Beaujolais Crus. Its old vines are grown on a pink granite terroir wine veins of manganese and harvested manually. The grape is 100% GAMAY, partially aged in French oak for eight months and has a brilliant dark garnet color. This wine is complex yet delicate with notes of toast, jammy fruits, vanilla, spices and floral aromas. It will pair well with slow cooked beef stew, beef ribs, spicy dishes and fine cheeses. Yum! I'm thinking this will be perfect for our Thanksgiving feasts coming up this week!
