Happy Hour with Hannah - Yalumba Viognier

In case you haven't heard I have no voice.  I had a pretty bad head cold this past weekend and although I feel fine now, I literally have no voice.  I've been asking around for remedies and I'm pretty sure someone said WINE would help!  Otto's Wine & Spirits to the rescue!  For today's Happy Hour with Hannah we get to enjoy the 2017 Yalumba Viognier.  It's from Yalumba Family Vignerons, Australia's oldest family-owned winery, and is part of The Y Series.

At Yalumba they believe that one good wine leads to another and The Y Series was created with that belief  in mind.  The Y Series includes a collection of iconic classics and exciting new varietals that are each authentically crafted with fruit from South Australia with individual character and purpose.  Hmm that seems pretty fitting for yours truly!

The Viognier specifically depicts vine cuttings and evokes hints of honeysuckle, lemon and lychees.  It is clear, pale, straw in color with forward peach, floral, citrus and tropical fruit flavors.  Maybe the best part of this win though is the aroma!  It just jumps out of the glass filling the room with tropical notes and loads of floral character.  On the palate this lush medium-bodied Viognier is dry and has a soft round texture with a long finish.

And it just keeps getting better.  The Yalumba Viognier earned a 90-point rating and secured the number 56 spot on the Wine Spectator Top 100 List.  All that amazing flavor, aroma and quality is available at Otto's Wine & Spirits for just $9.99.  Can you believe that!  Need a hostess, Christmas or thank you gift?  This is a very affordable option that everyone will love!  Head over to Otto's Wine & Spirits now and pick up a bottle...or 10 of the Yalumba Viognier.

You can also join us on 95.7 BIG FM's Facebook page as we go LIVE at 4:00pm for Happy Hour with Hannah and Otto's Wine & Spirits.  I may not be able to talk but I can drink wine!  I've got a great group of friends who are experts at Happy Hour with Hannah that can take the ropes.  Definitely watch to see how this one goes without me being in control!
