Happy Hour with Hannah - Freakshow Cabernet Sauvignon & Zinfandel

Yes! Finally time for another Happy Hour with Hannah and Otto's Wine & Spirits! In celebration of Halloween next week Otto's Wine & Spirits hooked us up with Freakshow from Michael David Winery. Just check out the design on the bottle! The circus feel is pretty fitting for Halloween and I love how they've chosen circus characters to fit each bottle of wine. I just love the Freakshow labeling.

Michael David Winery is known for taking the road less traveled and for many years has stood apart from the crowd. That's probably why I enjoy their wines so much as I totally can identify with that! Founders Michael and David Phillips are 5th generation grape growers who are excited to welcome the 6th generation to the team. Mike's son Kevin and daughter Melissa are now part of the family run winery. There are some cool notes and pictures about the family on their website michaeldavidwinery.com. It is a winery full of lots of personality!

Today on Happy Hour with Hannah and Otto's Wine & Spirits we get to sample Freakshow Cabernet Suavignon and Zinfandel. Freakshow is a favorite at Otto's Wine & Spirits and they're offering their lowest prices yet. Originally $20 per bottle Otto's Wine & Spirits has them on-sale for just $14.15. You can also save $10 when you buy three bottles, net price after instant coupon in store $10.82. What a deal for such delicious wines!

Freakshow Cabernet Sauvignon - This 2017 Cab spotlights the power and finesse embraced by Michael David's Strongman! It is a deep garnet color with aromas of cranberry, dark chocolate, vanilla and exotic spice. He's larger-than-life, medium in body and boasts bold flavors of raspberry, cocoa nib and pepper that stand out from the oak and spice-laden finish. Alcohol is 14.5%

Freakshow Zinfandel - This 2017 Zin is the third installment in the Freakshow line-up following the Cabernet and a Red Blend and pays homage to the Phillips family's roots in Lodi, a region known for exceptional Zinfandel. The spotlight for this one is the Dazzling Fire Mistress but shows a softer, sexier side of Lodi Zin. It focuses on the distinctive bright fruit and spice characters. As you enjoy this bottle you feel the elegance, charm and excitement come together in the variety's blazing red berry, cherry and dark fruit while flirting with pepper and spice notes. It's medium bodied and graceful with fine tannins, toasted oak and a lingering spice-laced finish. Alcohol is 15%.

Head to Otto's Wine & Spirits and pick up your favorite bottle of Freakshow for just $14.15. Or try a bunch and save $10 when you buy three bottles! Otto's Wine & Spirits has seven different locations so just find the nearest you!
