Make It Through Monday - Girl invents solution for blind spots in cars

I have a really impressive story to share with you for today's Make It Through Monday moment powered by Winkie's Hallmark & Gifts. Alaina Gassler who is 14 years old from West Grove, Pennsylvania, won a $25,000 prize in a national science fair for creating a solution to eliminate blind spots in cars. She basically put up a camera that shows what is happening outside which is then projected onto that area inside the car that would normally have the blind spot. What a cool idea and seams like a reasonable way to fix it. I just find it crazy impressive that a girl who is just 14 years old was able to come up with this idea. She doesn't even drive yet! She got the idea from riding inside her Mom's car and seeing the blind spots first hand. She also mentioned that her brother just started driving so she wanted a way to help him too. Great story and video from CNN.com.
