Pete Burns, 'You Spin Me Round' Singer, Dead At 57

Pete Burns, founder and lead singer of U.K. pop group Dead or Alive, died of cardiac arrest on Sunday (October 23). He was 57-years-old.

News of his passing surfaced via a statement from his management on his social media just a day afterwards. "All of his family and friends are devastated by the loss of our special star," the statement read. "He was a true visionary, a beautiful talented soul, and he will be missed by all who loved and appreciated everything he was and all of the wonderful memories he has left us with."

Burns dropped seven albums with Dead or Alive and is most known for offering up timeless 1985 hit, "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)," which Millennials might recognize from Flo Rida's "Right Round" sample in 2011. He encountered a career revival of sorts when he appeared on "Celebrity Big Brother" in 2006. Rest in peace, Pete.
