This week back in 1983, Michael Jackson made his first appearance on the cover of People magazine. It was the height of Thrillermania when the youthful 25 year-old was pictured in a red jacket with rolled up sleeves.
Ironically, October was the only month during 1983 when Michael didn't have a Top 10 hit record -- either solo or as a duet with Paul McCartney.
