6 Surprising Items You Didn't Know Could Be Washed In The Dishwasher

I do a lot of the domestic duties in our house. Especially the things that nobody else wants to do when it comes to cleaning.

Here are some things that can generally be safely cleaned in a dishwasher.

Keys. But not your car's keyfob.

Baseball hats. Top rack only. Loop the snapback on a peg and don't use detergent with bleach.

Your showerhead when the sprayers get clogged. Use the top rack.

Plastic Brushes and combs. Remove as much hair as possible.

Small plastic trash cans if they fit.

Dog bowls, leashes and collars. A dog's bowl can be the 4th germiest place in the entire house.

A bonus item: Your glass microwave turntable. I've been doing this forever and it's much easier than scrubbing it. Just don't drop it if it's wet and slippery at the end of the cycle.

There are a whole bunch more items that can be cleaned in a dishwasher here.
