AC/DC's Brian Johnson Singing A Hoover Commercial Circa 1980

When AC/DC's lead singer Bon Scott passed away, that opened the door for someone to fill that gig.

Brian Johnson had no idea that he would land a spot with was already a relatively successful band. Johnson needed the money and agreed to do this recording for 700 dollars.

Johnson was announced as the band's new lead singer on April 1, 1980. And this commercial aired that same month. For the ad agency, 700 dollars would have been a bargain!
