I remember 13 years ago when my daughter couldn't do anything for herself and she kept us up all night. She was barely a month old and I always wondered what she would be like as a teenager.
Last year, she and her best friend got a phone for Christmas. There is exactly 2 weeks age difference between them. It's been fun and hilarious to watch them spend the last year with their phones. The arm twirls that the dad does in front of the refrigerator are spot on. As are the peace signs and pursed lips to the phone camera.
She is such a good kid and gets good grades. So I have no complaints. In several years we will laugh about this phase. Perhaps over a beer and a glass of wine. Yikes!
