13 New 'High Risk' Invasive Species Prohibited In Minnesota

Environmental regulators have identified a baker's dozen of aquatic plants, fish and invertebrates as prohibited invasive species in Minnesota, effectively immediately, according to Bring Me The News.

Apparently Jumping worms, which have been found in some urban areas and will become prohibited on July 1 and so are the 13th species according to the DNR which are:

  • Non-native common reed
  • Mitten crabs
  • Nile perch
  • Snakehead fish
  • Walking catfish 
  • Yellow floating heart
  • Tench 
  • Golden mussel
  • Marbled crayfish
  • Golden clams 
  • Tubenose gobies
  • Eastern mosquitofish
