SEE: Where Mpls. will turn purple for Prince


As the world marks the first anniversary of Prince’s passing, Minneapolis landmarks will join Paisley Park in celebrating the life and legacy of Prince by turning purple starting on Thursday, April 20.

Buildings and landmarks scheduled to turn purple include:

  • I-35W bridge
  • Hennepin County Lowry Avenue bridge
  • U.S. Bank Stadium
  • IDS Center
  • Target Field

Paisley Park encourages cities and landmarks around the world to join in this purple tribute by lighting buildings, bridges, and landmarks in honor of Price!  Fans are also encouraged to wear purple on April 21 and upload pictures to social media using #PaisleyPark.

Starting on Thursday, April 20, Paisley Park will welcome fans from around the world to Celebration 2017 to enjoy four days of live music, panel discussions and special presentations highlighting Prince’s tremendous talent, influence and importance as a composer, musician, producer, live performer and filmmaker.
